Adorable detail from Kate Middleton's shopping trip with kids

A royal fan has shared some adorable details from Kate Middleton's recent shopping trip in London with her two eldest children, Prince George, 7, and Princess Charlotte, 5.

A woman known as Alexa took to Twitter on Monday (UK time) to share her delight at discovering the Cambridges had visited a shop she worked in on The Kings Road, in bustling west London.

Alexa, who according to her Twitter bio lives in a town south of Windsor, admitted that she'd always had a soft spot for the duchess.

"I’ve always been a Kate Middleton fan... today she was in one of my stores on the Kings Road with George and Charlotte," she revealed.

"What the team told me about how she was with them and how the kids were with each other makes me like her even more!" she added.

Of course, the sweet royal sighting piqued the interest of Alexa's fellow Twitter users.

"Spill, please. What was she like?" asked one.

While Alexa wasn't working in that particular store at the time, she did have some insight into Kate's parenting style to share courtesy of her colleagues.

"I wasn’t there but she talked to my team, the kids had a budget that they stuck to and paid for their own things with their own money," she replied.

"Just normal well brought up children and a normal parent trying to do the right thing and that’s just lovely!" she added.

When another Twitter user asked her to identify the store she works for, Alexa politely declined, saying that the name was 'irrelevant'.

Royal fans were abuzz with the adorable sighting, with many replying to Alexa's tweets.

"Love that! I’m slightly jealous," wrote one.

"Aww the Cambridges are the best, such a lovely family," added another.

"After last weekend she is clearly a National Treasure along with the Princess Royal, and Duchess of Wessex," said a third in reference to Kate's elegant appearance at the funeral for Prince Philip on Saturday.

Others shared their own Duchess of Cambridge shopping stories.

"I was buying Wellies in Holt and she was in the shop....she's so low key and charming, really lovely," said one.

"She has also been seen in local supermarkets here in Norfolk (sadly not by me). Buying stationery and clothes for and with the children. Just another mum buying homeschooling supplies," added another.
