Aldi's $6 buy sending makeup lovers wild: 'Extremely pleased'

Aldi fans say the cult product delivers flawless coverage.

If you love makeup and a good bargain, look no further: Aldi shoppers are raving about an absolute foundation steal that won't break the bank and gives fantastic all-day coverage.

The Lacura foundation is retailed online at $5.99 and provides medium coverage for a flawless complexion, and is dermatologically tested. The foundation also has SPF 15 and also promises long-lasting hydration.

One happy user uploaded a photo of the foundation in an Aldi fans group, raving about the product and the cheap price.

"I bought this today and I must say I am extremely impressed. [The] cost was $6.97, I applied with a Kabuki brush and a little powder over the top. Very pleased I must say," they said.

Other Lacura fans were quick to jump on board and sing their praises about the product.

"I have been using this for years and never find fault with it, especially for the price," one person said.

"This is my everyday foundation," one person said.

And a few buyers offered their tips and tricks for using the bargain foundation, including using the primer.

"I love this too! It's even MORE amazing when you add a thin layer of primer underneath... go on... give it a shot and you will never look back," one enthusiastic shopper said.

"The primer works just as good as expensive ones in Mecca," another agreed.

"I mix with my SPF for a bit of light coverage. Blends better than the expensive ones I’ve tried," another pointed out.

Online, both the primer and foundation are currently listed at $5.99 each, with the Aldi site stipulating that prices may vary by store and are subject to change.
