American Pie star reveals raunchy detail about role

American Pie star Jennifer Coolidge has revealed a racy detail about her iconic role as 'Stifler's mum'.

The 60-year-old 'MILF', who recently starred in comedy-drama The White Lotus, told Variety her role in the '90s cult classic led her to have sex with "200 people".

"I got a lot of play at being a MILF and I got a lot of sexual action from American Pie," she told the publication in a video posted to Twitter.

"There were so many benefits to doing that movie. I mean, there would be like 200 people that I would never have slept with."

Jennifer's surprise White Lotus admission

The actress has now received her first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her portrayal of Tanya in The White Lotus.

Speaking to the New York Times following her nomination, Jennifer revealed she "tried to get out of" the role.

"You know it was a huge risk for [creator Mike White] to give me this part," she said.

"I'm sure he had to jump through hoops to get me approved, and that they were thinking of some more famous actresses.

"But he gave me this shot, and I'm thrilled because it could have gone a different way. I was sort of nervous about it and I tried to get out of it. I truly did. I was nervous about vain things, like not looking right and not being able to deliver somehow. I just didn't want to fail, and I didn't want to be the only one in the cast who didn't pull through.

"But it's a great life lesson: When you want to try to get out of something, maybe it's the best thing you could be involved in."
