Best photos of the royals at Trooping the Colour through the years

The royal family will get together for the annual Trooping the Colour parade this weekend, which marks the Queen’s official birthday.

The Queen and senior members of the royals will take part in a carriage procession that travels from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guard’s Parade and back again.

They then congregate on the famous Buckingham Palace balcony to watch the RAF fly-past.

As always, the youngest royals tend to steal the show at the event, with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and their cousins providing some amusing moments in recent years.

In 2018, Savannah Phillips pretended to conduct the music, while promptly putting her hand over cousin George’s mouth to stop him from singing.

The Duchess of Sussex also made her debut at Trooping the Colour last year and is set to make her first post-pregnancy appearance at this year’s event.

The Duchess of Cambridge attended her first one in 2011 and has been an ever present figure on the balcony alongside her husband William and brother-in-law Prince Harry.

Take a look at some of the best photos of the royals at Trooping the Colour through the years.
