According to the magazine, an insider has claimed Robert's "career at Ten will only be short-lived".

"As Julia’s sidekick, the TV natural has delivered in spades," they added. "His easygoing and faultless live TV skills have won over the nation. But his career at Ten will only be short-lived, and he is heading back to [Channel] Seven."

The source explains that Robert only signed on for one season adding, "The Irwins are very smart when it comes to negotiations, all led by his mum Terri."

"She and her son see I’m A Celeb as a great one-off job to raise his mainstream TV profile… and it has!" the insider says of the "mumager".

Before working on I'm A Celebrity, Robert enjoyed filling in for weatherman Sam Mac on Sunrise when he was on leave. According to the insider, Seven spent a lot of time training Robert for his live TV presenting work, and the network wants him back.

Robert also reportedly feels loyal to Seven, and he "never burned his bridges" there.

The insider also suggests the network might be working on a wildlife TV project just for Robert.

However, a spokesperson from Ten has hit back at these rumours, telling Yahoo Lifestyle, "What a load of croc! We’ve heard a lot of furphys over the past 10 seasons, but media reports about Robert Irwin no longer hosting I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! take the cake and are completely fake.

"We’ve just wrapped an excellent season and can’t wait to do it all again next year."
