MAFS' Olivia gives up teaching and asks Kmart for job: 'Hit me up!'

MAFS star Olivia Frazer has revealed she is still on the job hunt after having to temporarily give up her teaching dream for now after losing her job as a result of her behaviour on the show.

Speaking at the Celebrity Slim AU event in Sydney last Monday, Olivia shared that she's currently on the job hunt.

"I’m doing okay, taking it easy and trying to get back out there in civilisation," she told us. "I think the backlash has died down, but having Instagram back I’m seeing [negative] comments and stuff... but I feel my skin is getting thicker. I’ve had a few job interviews, that haven’t gone the best – but that’s okay.

"I’ll work anywhere that will give me a job. Kmart, hit me up!"

She continued, "Every interview I’ve done has been fair, and I’ve had the interview based on my resume and merits, and I think I should have a job based on my skills and accomplishments. I would love to still be a teacher and that’s my ultimate goal... I just don’t know how to go into a classroom right now.

"I’m definitely putting off my final placements for a while. I don’t know if any schools would take me this year... I won’t be putting myself out there to do that."

It comes after Olivia revealed in an Instagram Live recently that she still wants to be a teacher "so bad".

"I want to be a teacher so bad, it’s my passion, I think right now it’s just gonna be more of a long term goal rather than a near future, which is a shame. But, it’s what happens," she said.

"I don’t have a backup plan, it was always going to be teaching. So, might need that backup plan right about now, that would be good."

'More hated than Putin'

The reality star told 2Day FM's Hughesy, Ed & Erin earlier this year, "I've already lost my job as a direct result of this show."

She went so far as to say the backlash has been so severe that she feels she's "more hated than Vladimir Putin" in Australia right now.

Last month, Olivia lashed out on social media after a photo of her interviewing for a job over Zoom was shared online.

"A journalist ... reported that I was spotted applying for a casual job at a makeup store," she said in a video on social media shared by TikTok account @mafs.bachie.gossip.

"Absolutely disgusting because a photo was taken of me in my job interview that I did not know was being taken. I just think a huge disgusting invasion of privacy."

Olivia said she had lost enough as a result of appearing on the show and claimed it was 'highly edited' and 'overproduced'.

"If you believe everything that was shown on TV you're a d***head," she said.

"It's just really unfair, let me live my life, let me have a job."

Olivia added she was still studying full-time and her university had been supportive.

"I just want a job to go with it, earn some money, save to go travelling, pay my rent. I don't want to be on the dole," she said.

The reality star did recently admit to being tempted to join OnlyFans because it's "good money".
