Miley Cyrus breaks down during Super Bowl performance
Miley Cyrus broke down in tears during her performance of her hit Wrecking Ball at the TikTok tailgate concert at the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Miley famously wrote the song back in 2013 about a bad breakup, with rumours circling for years that it’s about her Aussie ex, Liam Hemsworth.
"I wrote this song after somebody broke my heart, and I just wanted to say 'f**k you’,” she previously said while performing in London.

"[and] make sure every time he turned on his radio, he would hear my song and will keep hearing it for the rest of his life."
The singer became emotional while singing Wrecking Ball. She and Liam married in 2018 and later divorced soon after in 2019.

Miley stopped singing at one point in the song and put her head down, wiping tears away while she said ‘it never gets easier’.
She told the crowd after the performance, "Singing that song, Wrecking Ball, about feeling completely broken and shattered … everyone’s suffering is different, even everyone’s threshold of pain.
"I wear a lot of glitter and I wear a lot of armour, and I also wear my heart on my sleeve, and it gets broken a lot."
Fans were just as emotional, with one taking to Twitter to write: "Miley singing wrecking ball and saying 'it never gets easier' made me cry like a mf baby!"
"Is it weird that I knew Miley was gonna cry the minute she started that performance," another said.
"Watching Miley crying singing wrecking ball makes me cry," someone else added.
The singer finished the performance with another emotional track, The Climb.
The singer wore a black and purple cheerleading outfit with the letters "FTW" written across her chest.
The 28-year-old kicked things off by singing Toni Basil's Hey Mickey, but with the lyrics being changed to Hey Miley.
She then sang her new song Prisoner with Billy Idol then joining her for Night Crawling and White Wedding.
Miley moved on to Blondie's Heart of Glass then performed a number of other songs including her godmother Dolly Parton's song Jolene and Fleetwood Mac's Edge of Seventeen between her own songs.
Joan Jett then joined her on stage for Bad Karma, Bad Reputation and I Hate Myself For Loving You.
Miley even gave Britney Spears a shoutout during her performance of Party in the USA.
The singer was very serious about her prep for the performance and took to Instagram to share video of herself running on the treadmill while singing.
The Weeknd performed during the Super Bowl halftime show, baffling some viewers with his backup dancer’s costumes.
