Modibodi is known for its range of comfy, cool, period-proof underwear - and now they've launched a brand new range of period swimwear. Made from 78% recycled nylon, it's made to be sustainable, without compromising comfort, style or performance.

The leak-proof bottoms are designed to be worn during light to moderate periods, and to protect against bladder leaks. They can hold up to 10mls of liquid, which is the equivalent to two tampons or two teaspoons. Made from innovative technology that absorbs liquid, they're also UV50+ rated for superior sun protection.

Recycled Swimwear Hi-Waist Bikini Brief, $45

Get a retro look with these full-coverage, high-waisted briefs. They have a thick, supportive waistband that's seriously flattering. They also have fast-drying lining, and are chlorine-resistant and UV50+ rated. They come in sizes 10-18.

Reversible Recycled Swimwear Crop Top, $55

This comfortable style is designed to suit a range of shapes and sizes. It has a flattering square neckline, and is wire-free so it's flexible and doesn't dig in. It's made from the same innovative recycled fabric as the rest of the range, and is designed to be worn with the period and pee-proof swimwear briefs, or alone as a crop top. It comes in two patterns; orange and black, or green and leopard, and is available in sizes 8-18.

Recycled Swimwear Bikini Brief, $40

These classic bikini bottoms have a high-cut leg and are super comfy. Like the rest of the range, they prevent leaks, are fast drying, and are made from recycled fabric.

Tips for effective use:

1. Wash before wearing them for the first time. This will activate the technology in the gusset for maximum absorbency.

2. Rinse them cold water after use until the water runs clear.

3. Cold wash in a delicates bag. Don't use fabric softener as this can reduce its function.

4. Hang dry.
