WATCH: Inside Paris’ first nudist restaurant
If you’ve ever stressed about having nothing to wear to a fancy dinner, one French restaurant’s dress code means you’ll never have to worry about that again.
Located in Paris’ 12th arrondissement, restaurant O’naturel is all about leaving your inhibitions – and your clothes – at the door.
The 40-seat diner is the city’s first nudist restaurant, serving up classic French fare to punters who are required to disrobe in a coat-check room, leaving behind their mobile phones as well.
At $75 for a three course meal, the prices are pretty reasonable. And ladies, don’t fret – you can keep your heels on.
O’naturel was opened earlier this month by 42-year-old twins Mike and Stephane Saada who aren’t nudists, but claim they saw a gap in the market.
"People only get to be nudists in the summer," Stephane told AFP.
It’s not the first time diners have jumped at the chance to disrobe for food. There have been nude restaurants in London and Tokyo, while Melbourne had a pop up event last year.
Radio hosts Jo and Lehmo of Melbourne’s Gold 104.3 FM hosted 50 bare bums at Collingwood restaurant The Noble Experiment on Smith Street, with many first timers embracing the experience.
While some guests were apprehensive at first, they soon relaxed a little said they were "excited to push their boundaries and try something new."
