The pair have been married for more than 70 years.

In the appearance, the Queen urged other Brits to sign up for the vaccine, asking them to think about other people rather than themselves'.

Of her experience, she said it was 'harmless' and painless.

"Well, as far as I can make out it was quite harmless,' she said with a laugh. "It was very quick, and I've had lots of letters from people who've been very surprised by how easy it was to get the vaccine."

"And the jab was very… it didn't hurt at all."

The latest appearance comes after a royal source revealed she has been left 'distraught' over Philip's ill health and Harry and Meghan's permanent separation from royal life.

“It’s been a rough few weeks for the queen, that’s for sure,” the source told Us Weekly.

“The situation with Harry and Meghan has been challenging, and on top of that, she’s distraught over her beloved husband’s health setback.”

Another source also claimed there had been some "tearful moments".

"Emotions are definitely running high," they told the publication.
