The Royal Family Shares Sweet Photos of Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, and Their Great-Grandchildren

Today, in memory of the late Prince Philip, the royal family is sharing several never-before-seen photographs of the long-serving consort. Many of these photos show Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh with their great-grandchildren.

One photo, posted by the royal family's main social media account, includes the Queen, the Prince, and seven of their great-grandchildren. According to the post, the Duchess of Cambridge took the photograph in 2018, when the group visited Balmoral Castle. Kate has become something of an unofficial royal family photographer, often publishing new photos of her three children on various occasions. This specific photograph includes the Cambridge kids: Prince George, Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte and Princess Anne's grandchildren: Savannah and Isla Phillips and Lena and Mia Tindall.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge posted another sweet photo on the Kensington Palace social media accounts. This picture showcases three royal generations: the Queen and Prince Philip, the Duke and Duchess, and a young Prince George and Princess Charlotte. This photo was also taken at Balmoral Castle, though back in 2015.

"Today we share, along with Members of The @RoyalFamily, photographs of The Duke of Edinburgh, remembering him as a father, grandfather and great-grandfather," read the caption.

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall also posted their own remembrance on their social media channels. Prince Charles and Camilla shared two photographs, one of Prince Charles and Prince Philip on horseback in 1966, and the other of Prince Philip, Prince Charles, and Camilla at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding in 2011.

"Remembering The Duke of Edinburgh as a much-loved Father and Father-in-Law," they wrote.
