TikTok mum hits back at cruel trolling over toddler’s meals

A mum on TikTok has hit back at cruel comments over her homemade meals for her toddler by parodying the trolls who sent them in the first place.

Graca Walters, the woman behind the account @texykitchen1, told the US Today show that she enjoys cooking dishes for her 13-month-old daughter, Zuri, that are inspired by her childhood spent in the Congo.

“I’m giving Zuri what my mother gave me,” the 31-year-old said.

“She likes curry. She likes lamb. She likes Jamaican food, too,” she added.

While the hearty food holds a special place in Graca’s heart it didn’t go down so well on TikTok, with unkind users branding it ‘disgusting’ and comparing it to ‘cat food.’

Some have even threatened to call CPS (Child Protection Services in the US) over her daughter’s diet.

Graca told Today that the backlash hurt her feelings at first but now she’s turning the tables on her trolls by poking fun at their nasty words in new videos.

In response to the comment, “My dog wouldn’t even eat that,” Graca, who now lives in New York with her husband, quipped, “My 13-month-old would eat it though.”

In another video, she overlaid the comment, “Cps will be contacted” over sweet footage of her cuddling a happy Zuri while doing chores around the house.

“Call them. I’m sure they won’t mind a hot meal,” the mum clapped back in another video.
