Richard Wilkins and Nicola Dale welcome new family member
Weekend Today star Richard Wilkins and his partner, Nicola Dale, have welcomed an adorable new member to their brood after debuting their romance just nine months ago.
Richard, 66, took to Instagram to share the happy news that the pair are now proud parents to a super cute 10-week old puppy named Fred.
'Delighted'
"Delighted to announce a new member of our ever-expanding family," he wrote. "We love you Fred ... and look forward to many wacky adventures."
Dog dad Richard posted a sweet snap of the pooch sporting a red bone-shaped tag on his collar while staying warm by the living room fireplace.
The following day, Richard gave his followers an update on how Fred was settling into the Wilkins household and by the looks of things, it's going swimmingly.

He uploaded a pic of the pup sitting on his lap by the pool while a row of cockatoos looked across the water.
"Fred’s first night at his new home... some of the locals dropped around to say G’Day...
"He’s very advanced... even has his own Insta @fredthecobberdog."
Fred's Instagram bio states that he is an Australian Cobberdog which is another name for a pure breed Labradoodle, hence his short, curly coat.
Bundle of joy
Fred joins the family a few months after the arrival of another bundle of joy. In January, Richard announced live on air that he was a grandfather twice-over after his daughter, Rebecca, welcomed her second child earlier in the week.
Richard was already known as ‘Papa Bear’ to his oldest grandchild, Rebecca and James’ firstborn, Bella.
Rebecca is one of Richard's five children who he shares with four different partners. His eldest son, Adam, 45, was conceived on Richard’s 18th birthday with his then-16-year-old high school girlfriend, known only as Lynette.
Next came a daughter, Rebecca, and another son, Nick, both of whom do not work in the entertainment industry.
Richard’s third son, 25-year-old Christian, is from his marriage to flight attendant Michelle Burke while he shares second daughter, Estella, 16, with his ex-girlfriend, Aussie designer Collette Dinnigan.
Richard and his current girlfriend, Nicola made it ‘Instagram official’ in August last year by sharing a sweet photo while on a romantic getaway in NSW’s Byron Bay.
