Anti-vaxxer mum dies after rejecting daughters' pleas to get jab
The daughters of a woman who died from coronavirus claim she was the victim of the many conspiracy theories and false information spread about the highly contagious virus.
Jennie Wall, from the US state of Washington, told King5 News her mum Cori Taylor-Wall, 57, thought she had caught Covid-19 at the beginning of the pandemic but it was never confirmed by a doctor.
Her mum believed she had antibodies to fight the virus.
However, on September 5, the 57-year-old was diagnosed with the Delta variant. She died 12 days later.
"It was very frustrating," Ms Wall told the publication.
"I would tell her what I went through on a day-to-day basis working in the Covid ICU with people who had died and it almost seemed like it wasn't really enough to convince her."
Despite her please from her daughter to get the Covid vaccine, Ms Wall said no amount of information would sway her mum, who would turn conversations political as she got a lot of her information from right-wing media.
Ms Wall said she and her sister Jennie, a respiratory therapist, had to put their anger aside and be by their mum’s side with love and support as she passed.

"You don't just hurt yourself when this happens, you hurt others," Jennie told King5 News.
"We were her life. She loved us so much and would do anything for us ... except get a vaccine."
Sadly, she is not alone.
Many people who have either denied Covid-19 is real or not believed in the its consequences have died from it.
A four-year-old girl from Texas recently died after it’s believed she may have caught coronavirus from her anti-vaxxer mum.
Marc Bernier, 65, a Florida-based radio host and prominent anti-vaxxer has also died from Covid.
