Father charged with murdering his teenage daughter in Norfolk

A 44-year-old man has been charged with the murder of his teenage daughter in Norfolk.

Officers were called to a report of a disturbance and a woman having been hit by a car in Leete Way, West Winch at 7.30pm on Sunday.

Lauren Malt, 19, was pronounced dead later on Sunday at King’s Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

A post mortem concluded Ms Malt died of chest and abdominal injuries.

Her father, Nigel Malt, was arrested at the hospital on suspicion of murder, causing death by dangerous driving and drink driving.

He was taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre where he was questioned by detectives before being charged and remanded in custody.

Malt, of Lynn Road, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, is due to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court accused of the murder of Ms Malt.
