Girls kept in dungeon as sex slaves asked on TV show by captor

Two women held as teenage sex slaves for almost four years have spoken of their fear about the release from jail of their rapist tormenter this week.

Paedophile Viktor Mokhov, now 70, has tried to track down both his victims from prison, and they say they are scared he will stalk them after 17 years behind bars.

Katya (Ekaterina) Martynova was only 14 when he kidnapped her, while he made Lena Simagina pregnant three times during their ordeal, and she twice gave birth.

The monster held them in a purpose-built underground bunker near his house in Skopin, near the Russian city of Ryazan.

Now the free Mokhov – dubbed the Skopin Maniac in Russian media – has invited the women to go on a TV show with him to relive their terror, and from his cell managed to find Katya’s address.

He wants to “whitewash” his appalling paedophile crimes which began in the year 2000, she said.

“He may come for me,” she said. “If we meet like this, I will be very scared.

“I feel shock and horror.

“I can't imagine now what I 'm going to do and I 'm scared to imagine that meeting. He brought me so much evil and grief. I am afraid of him.”

Katya, now 35 and happily married, was 17 when she was released after smuggling out a note which led to police coming to release her and Lena who by then was pregnant with her third child.

Disturbing pictures at the time show how they were found in the bunker.

Mokhov had taken the two oldest children from her and made sure they got to an orphanage and the third died at birth after she was freed.

'Deep wound in my soul will never heal'

Lena, 38, now an English teacher who was 17 where she was kidnapped, made clear she has no intention of voluntarily meeting her abuser.

“What happened to me left a deep wound in my soul that will never heal,” she said.

She did not want to “relive” her deep trauma, but says she is happy married with a family.

“Since there is no crime victim protection program in our country, we will have to take protection into our own hands,” she said.

Speaking from behind bars ahead of his release, the chilling Mokhov said the women have “no reason to be afraid of an old, feeble man”.

Yet he has sought Lena’s contacts and called on Katya to appear on TV with him, despite her refusal.

“Katya wrote a book where she made me a monster,” he told local media.

“After that I wrote two letters to her.

“I begged her to forgive the suffering I caused to the girls.

“Katya did not consider it necessary to answer.

“I suggested to Katya to agree on a joint participation on the TV show….

“She does not understand that after everything they have experienced through my fault, I do not want - and have no moral right - to throw mud at them and compromise them.

“Unfortunately, I have no way to explain this to her.”

Each day during their ordeal, Mokhov would clamber through a steel trapdoor to bring them food - and choose which of them he wanted.

Then he would pull his victim into a smaller underground room containing just a bed and pornographic pictures.

He forced them to dress in gaudy underwear he had bought.
