Horrific moment woman walking her dog is hit by car

WARNING - DISTURBING VIDEO: A group of people were spotted fleeing the scene just moments after they allegedly drove their car into a woman walking her dog.

The shocking vision was released by West Midlands Police in an attempt to track down the driver and two passengers, along with another car full of people who left the scene after the woman was hit.

In the video recorded on July 22, a woman in red can be seen walking her dog along a road in Great Barr, north-west of Birmingham, England.

A black Astra drives past the woman, closely followed by a black Renault Clio that suddenly swerves across the road and hits the woman and her dog, who are thrown into the bushes.

The car in front screeches to a halt and moments later a woman wearing a pink top and grasping a handbag runs out from bushes where the collision happened.

Two men follow behind her. They appear to be distressed and in a rush.

Two people in the Astra jump out of the car and appear to run away from the scene, while the driver reverses the car toward the collision.

The vision shows the trio from the Clio running toward the Astra before the vision ends.

“The woman survived, but her precious pet dog Millie tragically died at the side of the road,” police wrote along with the vision on Facebook.

Officers are now searching for the group of people regarding the alleged hit and run. They believe the two vehicles were travelling together.

Police confirmed the Astra has no registration or insurance, while investigations into the Clio suggest it has been fraudulently registered.

“We believe the two cars were travelling together and the people are probably friends with each other.

“The crystal-clear CCTV footage shows a number of people running away from the scene. We’re appealing to trace them, and need anyone with information to get in touch,” police wrote.
