Kmart shopper pays '$30 for almost $300 worth of clothing'

A Kmart shopper has snapped up a remarkable deal that she says saved her almost $270 on a haul of new clothing.

Taking to a Facebook group, the woman showed off the latest additions to her wardrobe along with the receipts detailing her purchases.

"Even though it's coming into winter, I couldn't pass on these bargains," the woman said on Sunday.

"$292 worth of clothes for summer for $29.50."

She said the Kmart in Tasmania's Burnie, where she had purchased the clothes, still had "tonnes" left.

The woman managed to nab more than 20 items – many of which were $1 with the most expensive item being $10.

From linen blends to V-neck camisoles, the woman is more than set for the warmer months and judging by the comments, she's not the only who shops out of season to get a good deal.

Another woman said she grabbed items in a couple of sizes up at the end of season markdowns so she's ready for the following year.

"Saves so much," she said.

Kmart is known for their affordable prices and many interested in clothes can nab a bargain, or even a good dupe for more expensive items.

Recently, Kmart unveiled a $40 puffer jacket, which proved to be a good substitute for a $170 one.

In April, a Coles shopper paid $23 for $355 worth of meat and seafood, meaning she was set for the Easter long weekend.

The woman managed to nab the bargain meats as part of a 'quick sale'.

Woolworths also recently revealed when specials become available every week online for customers to get a good price on groceries when shopping online.

A Woolworths spokesperson told Yahoo News Australia the supermarket's "weekly specials roll over around 7am every Wednesday".

Shoppers should place their online order after this time if they want to browse the specials beforehand, the spokesperson said.
