Harrowing new footage emerges of George Floyd's last moments

More video has emerged of the final moments of George Floyd’s life before he died.

The death of Mr Floyd, 46, allegedly at the hands of Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, has caused widespread anger in the US leading to protests and riots throughout the country.

He was filmed being in pain as an officer restrained him on the ground with his knee on the back of Mr Floyd’s neck.

Video obtained by activist Shaun King appears to show what happened before this moment.

The officers appear to struggle with Mr Floyd while he’s in the back of a squad car.

Mr King claims this shows police officers “beating the s***” out of Mr Floyd.

Although this is clearly an allegation, a warrant supplied to the 4th Judicial Court charging Chauvin with murder claims “officers made several attempts to get Mr Floyd in the backseat of squad 320 from the driver's side”.

Mr Floyd “did not voluntarily” get into the car but officers managed to get him inside.

It’s after this, Chauvin pulled the 46-year-old from the car and placed his left knee on the back of Mr Floyd’s neck for eight minutes and 46 seconds, the warrant reads.

His wife has reportedly announced she’s filing for an annulment.
