Powerball draw 1311: One winner scores entire $60 MILLION jackpot
UPDATE: Since this original story was published it has been revealed that it was actually a single syndicate of 10 people from Townsville that has taken Thursday's Division One prize. Meaning that each member is now $6 million richer.
One incredibly lucky Aussie is tonight $60 million richer as the sole winner of Powerball's jackpot.
After four consecutive weeks of no division one win, the prize money has been jackpotting from week to week, raising the bar for tonight's winner.
The winning numbers for draw 1311 were 11, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20, with the all-important Powerball number 15.
It's not yet known which state the winner lives in, or where the ticket was purchased, but the windfall will no doubt be a welcome surprise.
The division two prize will be split between 24 winners, who will take home $36,838.90 each.
The last Powerball jackpot to be won was scored by a mum in the south-west Sydney suburb of Carnes Hill.
The woman won $9 million - and claimed a psychic had predicted her incredible fortune.
The winner told The Lott her mum had recently seen a psychic who predicted somebody in her family would win a life-changing lottery prize this year, an amount that would help out her relatives.
