Sydney exposure sites grow as town 750km away on high alert
Exposure sites linked to Sydney's ever-growing Covid-19 outbreak continue to balloon as health authorities reveal virus fragments have been detected 750 kilometres away from the city.
Early on Friday morning, Cafe de la Fontaine in the heart of Potts Point was listed as an exposure site with anyone who went inside during four separate periods from June 19 to 21 told to isolate for 14 days.
And following sewage monitoring, Covid-19 fragments were detected in the Bourke treatment plant in the state's northwest, prompting fears the virus has spread into regional NSW.
"There have been no prior detections at this site," NSW Health said in a statement.
"NSW Health is urging everyone in this area to be vigilant for the onset of any cold-like symptoms, and to get tested immediately and isolate if they appear."
The plant serves about 2000 people.
There are now more than 50 locations where if someone has visited during the exposure time, they must get tested and isolate for 14 days regardless of their test result.
Late on Thursday night, NSW Health added these locations to their list of exposure sites:

Cantine Verte Café, 1/34-36 Ralph Street, Alexandria, Monday, June 21, 9.20am – 9.35am, and Tuesday, June 22, 8am – 8.15am
The Pommery Café, 24a Ralph Street, Alexandria, Monday, June 21, 2.30pm – 3pm
A series of other locations were also listed where people were deemed a casual contact and had to get tested immediately and self isolate until a negative result is received.

Further cases linked to the Joh Bailey hairdressers have arisen forcing health authorities to order anyone who visited the site between June 15 and June 23 to isolate for two weeks.
Merivale's Royal Hotel in Bondi was added to the list late on Thursday, while two Fitness First sites in Bondi Junction were also included.
Overall, there's nearly 180 locations or transport routes listed as exposure sites.
The NSW government will hold a crisis meeting on Friday morning to review the state's response to the surge in cases which now stands at 48 local infections since an unvaccinated limousine driver ferrying air crew tested positive on June 16.
Despite widespread speculation Sydney was on the brink of another lockdown, Ms Berejiklian held her nerve insisting current measures were proportionate.
"Since the pandemic has started, this is perhaps the scariest period that NSW is going through," she said on Thursday.
Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant expressed her concern over the outbreak but stressed a snap lockdown at this stage was not needed as there was no backlog on contact tracing.
