Woman kicked in the back by cyclist in shocking unprovoked attack

A Melbourne woman is in hospital with serious injuries after a man riding a pushbike kicked her in the back in an unprovoked attack.

The 52-year-old was walking along Unitt Street at Melton on Tuesday afternoon when the man approached her from behind and kicked her in the back.

The kick caused the woman to fall forward onto concrete.

Police on Friday released CCTV images of two men, aged in their late teens to early 20s, that they would like to speak with in relation to the attack.

Anyone who recognises these males, witnessed the assault or has any information that could assist investigators is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or file a confidential report online.
