Woman's fiancè, mum and grandmother killed by Covid in five days

A woman is urging everyone to get the Covid vaccine after her fiancé, mum and grandmother died from the Delta variant over just five days.

Tiffany Devereaux, from the US state of Florida, said she feels “lost” after her loved ones died last week.

“I lost my grandmother on Saturday, lost my fiancé on Monday and I lost my momma yesterday,” Ms Devereaux told local publication News 4 Jax on Thursday (local time).

“I had to skip going to her memaw’s funeral yesterday so I could get to the hospital so I could say goodbye to my momma.”

Ms Devereaux said she had also been infected with Covid but had suffered mild symptoms.

Her fiancé Britt was 35, her mum was 65 and her grandmother was aged 85.

“I feel lost. I feel so lost,” Ms Devereaux told the publication.

“I don’t know what to think or what to feel right now. I want my loved ones back. They’re the ones that always got me through the hard times in my life and now they’re all gone.”

She said only her grandmother had been vaccinated and that her family was initially sceptical of the jab.

Ms Devereaux said her fiancé and mum’s last wish was for her to get vaccinated, and she’s now vowed to. tell everyone how important it is.

Ms Devereaux announced her family’s deaths on a GoFundMe page created by friends to help her family.

She said Britt fought “so hard” but his “weary soul” is now at rest.

“He is fully healed, his head restored, all pain and suffering is no more. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone for praying and lifting him up,” she wrote.

“God answered those prayers, just not in the way we had hoped. I know Britt is looking over me, protecting as he always had done. I will miss him terribly but I will reunite with him one sweet day. Rest in Peace my love!”

After her mum died days later, Ms Devereaux said she was “beside herself”.

“I have not even begun to process and accept the losses of the most special people in my life,” she said.

“Please continue the prayers my my sister and I and our family. We have no idea how we are going to get through life without our momma.”
