Fantasy basketball: Pick up Cam Payne and Cam Johnson for playoffs

The fantasy basketball playoffs are either starting tomorrow or just one week away.

So good luck if you made it, or if you’re still fighting for a spot good luck to you too.

Let’s look at some options that can help out advancing you another week.

Cam Payne

With Chris Paul out, Cam Payne is likely going to start the rest of the regular season.

He has looked great so far and shouldn't be sitting on any waiver wires.

Cam Johnson

Johnson may be coming off the bench, but his production has been excellent including a huge night against the Knicks on the weekend.

He has had some struggles in a bench role this season, but he is a strong addition for the time being.

Jaxson Hayes

Hayes looks locked in as a starter for the Pelicans for the short term.

Yes, there was a positive update on Zion Williamson today, but I doubt Zion is back and playing in the next 2-3 weeks.

That leaves Hayes as the guy who should approach 30 minutes most nights and who should be on a 12 team fantasy roster.

Malik Monk

The Lakers continue to be all over the place, but Frank Vogel has gone back to starting Malik Monk and that is the correct decision.

While he is starting, you should add him off the wire, but if Vogel moves Monk back to the bench, then you can jettison him also.

Alec Burks

I don’t love him, but for some reason Tom Thibodeau does, giving him huge minutes most nights.

Derrick Rose will have an impact when he returns and don’t discount the production of Immanuel Quickley, but for now, Burks is the guy to try out on a roster for fantasy.

Isaiah Hartenstein

With four games this week, Hartenstein is looming as a solid add.

If he just gets to 20 minutes per night, that’s enough for him to rack up plenty of stats and have a sizeable impact in leagues.

Donte DiVincenzo

The minutes are quickly trending towards DiVincenzo in Sacramento.

If you have Davion Mitchell, a switch for DiVincenzo is a great move and he could sneak inside the top 100 for the rest of the season.

Jalen Smith

Even though Smith is off the bench, he is getting enough playing time to be a useful fantasy option, at least until Myles Turner returns.

Isaiah Jackson

Jackson is the Pacers’ starting centre and should remain that at least until Turner is back.

For now, you can’t leave Jackson on the wire in leagues and even with Turner back, I expect them to play together a little bit.

Drew Eubanks

Eubanks is only on a 10-day contract and his value may disappear sharply, but for now he is the Blazers starting centre and putting up numbers which make him useful enough to merit discussion here.

Until he is off the roster, Eubanks is a 12 team option.
