Commentators at the RBC Heritage couldn't help but become nervous for 2020 PGA Championship winner Collin Morikawa after noticing a scary detail behind him.

The American was forced to make a chip shot, near the water, on the 15th hole at the South Carolina tournament.

Morikawa lined up his chip shot, right in front of a sign that read: "Please do not feed or disturb the alligators."

And as he was practising his swing to reach the green, the camera swung a few inches to the right.

The commentators noticed an onlooker just above the surface right behind the American.

“This would have me… a little twitchy,” the commentator said.

Morikawa appeared unperturbed and held his nerve to hit a stunning chip shot right near the hole.

The commentators were quick to point out they wouldn't be staying around too long to admire the shot.

“I wouldn’t be standing there right now,” one commentator joked.

“As soon as I hit the ball I’m outta there.”

Another commentator made the joke, "Needed a little more bite with that," following the shot.
