NBA Fantasy: Waiver wire options for week four of the NBA

Jalen Brunson is improved his pointy guard play under new Dallas coach Jason Kidd.

As we get ready for Week 4 in NBA Fantasy, we need to make sure are staying on top of players to add off the waiver wire. Here are some options to add for Yahoo Points Leagues.

Jalen Brunson, Dallas Mavericks

Brunson has been a revelation, playing essentially starter’s minutes, even as a sixth man.

He’s averaging almost 33 fantasy points in his last four games and is available in 40% of Yahoo leagues. He should be on someone’s roster.

Devin Vassell - San Antonio Spurs

Vassell is providing some solid numbers now, but it’s also into the future that I am looking at him for.

Doug McDermott is not a piece of the future for the Spurs and Keldon Johnson isn’t blowing us away, so there is a clear 30-minute role waiting for Vassell here.

Grab him, ride out some bumpy nights and it could pay off by January in a big way.

Thaddeus Young - San Antonio Spurs

With starting big man Jakob Poeltl out, Young has been dusted off and is getting some good minutes.

He wasn’t playing before Poeltl was ruled out, so Young may not maintain value, but for now, Thad is bringing it for his fantasy managers.

Georges Niang/Shake Milton/Furkan Korkmaz - Philadelphia 76ers

With Tobias Harris dealing with COVID, Matisse Thybulle out due to Health & Safety Protocols, and Danny Green dealing with a hamstring injury, these three Sixers are putting up some great numbers, enough to be considered options in all standard Yahoo leagues.

Terrance Mann - Los Angeles Clippers

Eric Bledsoe’s numbers are going backwards and Mann seems locked into 30 minutes a night. He isn’t blowing us away, but a top 100ish player on the wire is an opportunity I don’t want to pass up.

Patrick Beverley - Minnesota Timberwolves

D’Angelo Russell is hurt, so Beverley is the Wolves’ starting point guard and has been rewarding his managers with some nice performances.

Even before Russell’s injury, Beverley was playing well, so grab him for now and see if he can maintain it when Russell is back. Malik Beasley is also a beneficiary of Russell’s injury, so he can be a real short term stream option.

Gary Payton II - Golden State Warriors

For those in deeper leagues, Gary Payton II is on a hot streak. He isn’t getting 20 minutes a night, but he is producing enough that you need to take notice of what he is doing.

He has done this in the past for short stretches, so I am not expecting longevity here, but he is a nice grab for now.
