Sam Kerr confirms new romance after telling moment at Olympics
Sam Kerr has gone public with her relationship with American football star Kristie Mewis after photos showed them hugging on the pitch following the bronze medal match at the Olympics.
Kerr and Mewis sparked romance rumours on Friday night when they were spotted sharing some lovely moments together after USA beat the Matildas to win bronze.

Mewis could be seen consoling Kerr after the Aussie star was left heartbroken by the loss.
On Monday, Kerr confirmed the romance on social media, posting a photo of the pair kissing.
The 27-year-old posted a photo showing her holding a Polaroid snap of Mewis sitting on her lap as they shared a kiss.
Kerr tagging Mewis in the caption, adding a red love heart emoji.
Mewis also shared a photo of her and Kerr looking very loved-up.
Kerr recently split with Nikki Stanton - also an American football player - in the lead-up to the Tokyo Olympics.
The pair had been together for seven years, but Kerr reportedly told friends she had “fallen out of love” with Stanton.
Kerr and Stanton have since unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Matildas fall heartbreakingly short of Olympic medal
The Matildas fell agonisingly short of securing a medal at the Tokyo Olympics, losing to the United States 4-3 in the bronze medal match.
Megan Rapinoe's magnificent Olimpico - a goal scored directly from a corner kick - gave the US the advantage in the eighth minute, with Kerr equalising in the 17th.
Rapinoe volleyed the world champions back in front, then Carli Lloyd scored either side of half-time to make it 4-1.
Caitlin Foord hit back in the 54th minute before Emily Gielnik scored a 90th-minute belter - but the Matildas went home empty-handed.
"Coming so close to a medal is completely heartbreaking," vice-captain Steph Catley said.
"Especially being so close and really taking it to the top teams in the world and out-playing them at times and getting so close to scoring in certain moments.
"It just feels like we were right there and it's just been snatched from us. So it's definitely tough to take.
"... It's hard to say (the tournament) was a success. A success would have been a medal - that was our goal from the beginning.
"But I would say we've gained a lot, learned a lot and come a long, long way from where we were."
Kerr's 48th international goal saw her break Lisa De Vanna's record as the Matildas' all-time top scorer.
Coach Tony Gustavsson lauded the Matildas' progress since their first camp together in April and expected their Olympics disappointment to drive them towards the 2023 Women's World Cup.
"I said in the circle that I actually hope we never forget the feeling we felt after this loss - because that feeling, we never want to feel again," Gustavsson said.
"We need to use that as fuel to make sure we work really hard from now on to get one day better.
"Come that World Cup 2023 we want to have the feeling we had when we played GB ... that excitement and celebration - to win."
